Igor Dmitrievič Šajmardanov rodilsja v 1964 godu, učilsja v Neftekamskoj chudožestvennoj škole, Joškar-Olinskom chudožestvennom učilišče. V 1992 godu okončil Sankt-Peterburgskuju gosudarstvennuju akademiju teatralnogo iskusstva. Člen Sojuza chudožnikov Rossii i Sojuza teatralnych dejatelej Rossii. Živet i rabotaet v Sankt-Peterburge. V albome «Aleksandru Sergeeviču chorošo!» vpervye sobrany vse «puškinskie» cikly izvestnogo rossijskogo chudožnika, sozdannye bolee čem za 10 let. Reprodukcii svoich rabot, vypolnennych v originalnoj technike, avtor soprovodil citatami iz proizvedenij Puškina, iz pisem i avtobiografičeskich zametok poėta i ego sovremennikov, vyjaviv tem samim skrytye v šutlivych «kartinkach» sereznye, inogda tragičeskie podteksty i smysly.
